Photographer’s Note

The original prairie farmsteads would typically have grain storage bins (graineries) to hold the harvested grains until needed or sold. Today, most of those old bins have been replaced with large round galvanized steel bins. So in keeping with this thought, the canola or mustard seed soon to be harvested from these yellow fields will be stored in the large bins as shown here. The clouds were dark and rain threatened, but the light white clouds were drifting overhead. This is a very typical prairie scene this time of year.
