Jones Lake 2 Photo

Photographer’s Note

My previous post of Jones Lake was the view looking to the north. This shot is to the south looking over the lake in the opposite direction with the Cascades in full view. Unfortunatly the air quality was not the best on this day, and also our agenda had put us at the lake around noon, so the mountain clarity is not what it might be in better conditions.

Haze or not, it still looks like a beautiful place. The snowy Cascades make a wonderful background to the lake and even put some faint reflections on it. Well done

I liked the other one a little better but your images of Jones Lake are gorgeous. In not in the great outdoors this 4th of July but wish I were at a lake just like this right now.

It's missing some ultimate sharpness, but the view, light and colors are just wonderful.
Never heard of the lake, but it sure looks great here. Lots of snow on the tops, hope it stays till i get there ;-)

Seems like your Nikon works very well in recording the beautiful colours of Canadian mountain scenes..!
Here I see a classic postcard, in a well balanced composition with a fine sense of depth...

What a nice place for a good stroll middle of the nature, without cars or other tourists, here would I very gladly with my camera once are present.
Composition and presentation are very nice, certainly with the real colours.

Hi Gerald,
You show us a nice place here with fine mountain background but I don't get your settings, no need to close the lens to f/25 and shoot with a resulting low speed that gives a slightly blurred impression.

Bonjour Gerald,
énormément de profondeur pour cette photo d'un endroit de rêve, pour ube communion avec la nature. Des lumières qui ont l'air très fortes, on le voit aux neiges.
Je pense que le polarisant a eu un rôle d'amplificateur de couleurs ici.
Magnifique ambiance.

I hope the glaciers in the background won't melt within my lifetime. They make the mountains look wilder and more beautiful. This lake is very pretty, just most other lakes in Beautiful BC. Nice light and excellent perspective to capture this scene. Thanks Gerald.
