Lake of tranquility Photo

Photographer’s Note

Again,this is Kananaskis Upper Lake,at about half past eight in the morning,when the light was still wonderful and there was no wind.
I like the panoramas I created but I also like this one, with the small green island in the middle of the beautiful blue lake as the main subject.
This is not a cropped photo,this is the way I thought it to be when I took the shot.

buna dimineata, nelu (sau buna seara, pt tine) ;o)
foarte interesanta imagine in thumbnail, devine mult mai explicita odata deschisa. atragatoare locuri si cum spune si isabela bine vazuta reflexie. culorile ei sunt "to die for" ;o) ... chiar imi place mai mult reflexia decat realitatea ;o)

Hi Nelu,

This is definitely the nicest picture of this lake I have seen in this website. The sharpness and the colours look great. I do like your zooming instead of cropping because you seem to have retained more details. I'm glad you took this picture very early because at this time of the year the sun is already too high between 9:30 and 10am. The new lens also seem to give you excellent results. Nice work Nelu :-)

this one is beautiful! the reflections on the so placid water are just beautiful and almost perfect, emphasizing the beauty of the compo. The little island with the spot of green is a good focal point and works well in the compo. Clarity is stunning and the vibrant colours you managed to deliver makes this one a beautiful picture to look at. I like it!

very nice shot, good mix of greens and blues. I like the reflection showing what we cannot see .the light and the dynamic created by the lines in the mountain and the movement of water is very nice.
