Photographer’s Note
I took this photo two nights ago in the campground of Algonquin Provincial Park, Ontario, Canada. I was actually waiting for my neighbors to shut their lights so that I can shoot stars from my campsite, but then I realized that I can try to use their lights in somewhat creative way.
There was no post processing, except for resize in PS.
Let me know what you think!
46sec exposure, f/2.8, ISO 1600

Hi Boris,
I like it, it looks unreal indeed with the light radiating from the woods. In the context, something out of landing aliens and such..

I agree with the first comment, it looks like X-files or something! The stars are so bright, they look truly amazing.
Very different photo, I like it!

Hi, Boris -
It's amazing how many times we think some aspect in the shot is annoying and we want for it to move out of the way, and then suddenly it turns out to be what makes the shot interesting! Like here. This was an inspired use of an "annoyance." A good balance of the elements, too; the foreground is negative space, but it balances the sky well, and I would not cut it back.
Good shot!

wow this is a great picture! I love how the glow from your neighbours illuminates all of the individual stems of the trees.
The picture is clear and sharp and your exposure was short enough to keep the stars from streaking at all. You did a great job, well done!!

Hi Boris, you were right, excellent idea, it looks magic, the light rays between trees are wonderfully escaping. very well done.
