Over the years I've watched this old house have many facelifts, but I was really impressed by the work these new owners have done. Hope you like it too.

Hi Karen

A good warm vs cold colour contrast, between the red roofs & blue sky. Excellent sharpness & framing. Tfs!

Yes indeed, it is a nice house with a lovely entry on the left. It is quite interesting to see how the two windows are not on the same level. Well done.

Hello Karen! Nice perspective. Nice lightness. Interesting house. Good capture. Well done!

Hello Karen,
A well chosen point of view to show off this house to good effect. Good light and shadow contrasts with enough detail in the shadows to enable us to appreciate the architecture fully. Very good clarity.

Bonjour, chère Karen,
Très intéressante prise de vue qui a le mérite de nous faire connaître les vieilles maisons d'Alberta.
Il faut reconnaître que les propriétaires entretiennent parfaitement cette maison.
Amitiés.
Philippe

Hi Karen
Indeed a good face lift can really bring out the beauty of those old houses

Hi Karen
I like the POV and the FOV. Probably, I would have used the same if I was there. That's why the photo looks so pleasant to me.
It wasn't an easy shot: the light was striking strongly on the house, the contrasts were high and, due to the limitations of the dynamic range of the digital, in order to not burn the highlights out, the grass, the tree and the reds seem to be a little underexposed. So, the best that could be done in those conditions.

Hi Karen
Beautifully exposed and the image is crisp and bright. My only critique is that the less interesting part of the house dominates the scene. I realize the front is not well lit but I wonder if you came back at a different time of day if the front would be in better light.

Hi Karen,
Happy mother's day! I like this shot for it's simplicity and colors. Really very pretty.
Thanks for sharing,
Shaeri

Karen, this is truly an ordinary scene, which of course those that don't live on this side of the world will find facinating and exotic. I see that it is well exposed and colorful and the diagonal road make the composition pretty interesting. Is this the front door to the left side? I kind of looks like a back yard view.

Dear Karen,
this is newly reformed old house? incredible...
it looks quite new building, and this shot is like a new pamphlet of it.
blue sky and red roof is vivid and the color of the wall is quiet. perhaps the new owners may be pleased to see your excellent shot.
thank you,
Akihisa

Very good perspective composition and colors, Karen. So contrast and clear, showing fine details with the warm lights.
TFS!
Best regards
