It was a perfect evening for a stroll in the country. I liked how the light was on the fields that night. As you can see we're getting a tiny bit of green now. I should also mention this is NOT my dog!

Hello Karen,

we have the similar inspiration today. I also like your choice: lonely dog on the long, long road - looking for the water. Or, your story is different.

Many thanks and best rregards,

Branko

Hi, Karen,
you know, coming from the mountains, I find that prairie landscape fascinating. We went through country like that once on the way to Montreal and I thought it was beautiful. Just SOO much space. This is a great shot. Wonderful wide view, beautiful light, color and clarity, nice sharp detail. Wonderfully done! Many thanks and hope all is well,
Shelly

Hi Karen,
I have a border collie mix and he has a very high opinnion of himself. This is a lovely spring time scene with clear soft colors and excellent sharp details. The lighting is perfect and the dog adds very effective scale to this winde angle scene.
Regards, Tom

gorgeous capture! i am one person who love dogs and this one touches me a lot! he seems tired but, home is where the heart is, home is where he belongs...and he's coming home! superb compo coupled with good lighting. right now my little doggie is on my lap...:-)

High, this is a great photo! All gorisontal but the dog brings so much life here! Many thanks, TFS.

Hello Karen,
A simple but appealing landscape. Despite not being your dog, he is a good bonus adding a nice touch of vitality. Pleasing light and natural colours. I like how the curving track and the fence posts take the viewer into the scene and bring a feeling of depth.

Hi Karen,
Oh how nice. Running home it seems. Great tile, but also excellent placed in the frame were the landscape also plays an important role....i like this one a lot.
Regards, Henk

Karen, this is a fine shot, one of your best in a while I think. It could use some contrast and saturation, in my mind anyway, but overall the composition is good, a real intended photo and not just a snap shot if you know what I mean.

Dear Karen,
a wonderful view and perhaps an interesting story is in it.
this dog really makes me imagine some stories in this landscape.
where this dog came from and then where it will go to, who is its master and how is he or she...
anyway this evening sky and field are the base of that stories.
thank you,
Akihisa

Hi Karen,

Very nice picture with a good title. Nice colours. Photo looks like aquarel painting, especially those trees. Touching composition. Warm regards

Malgorzata

Great timing with this capture of the dog! I like where youve framed him in the bottom right, and with not much time to have done so.
Youre not going to believe this, but a few nights ago I had a dream i was traveling in Canada, and I saw you working behind a counter somewhere and I recognised you! How weird! :)
Dave.

Hi Karen. NOT your dog! If you don’t want him send him over here, I’ll look after him ;-). I see your fields are slowly coming to life and ours are slowing down, they don’t stop though. Well captured, the pooch makes a great focal point and the track draws the eye further into the scene. Nice work and thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

Hi Karen,

Good mix of yellowish colors in an evening set up.

I guess Rover the dog will be challenging the photographer in a near future.

Hello Karen,
Thlose vast plains are always amazing me!
I'm used to see hills and mountains around, and there is nothing as long as my eye can see...
Nice dog, probablt a Berner Sennenhund..!
Greetings,
Pablo -

Hello Karen,a good shot of your part of the world.I really get a feel for the vast open-ness of the place.
The dog is perfectly placed in the shot.
Good light and sharpness.

Hi Karen!
A lonely dog in this wide plain, what a scene. You captured him very well and I like the effect of the fence and the trees in background. You're right, the light was very good too.

Hello Karen
Just a lone dog & acres of barren field. Superb colour contrast & I do like your compo. where the subject has been excellently placed in the frame. Looks like it's following the tyre tracks here. Good work Karen!

hello karen

lovely catch: this doggie soul running home from his probably mischevious deeds. i like how the fence accentuates the 'long way home' part of your story. and the day does look perfect for a stroll in this canadian landscape. my compliments!
