Photos

This photo is a joint effort. My partner Ros took the photo, with a Panasonic digital camera, and I did the post-processing. A longer exposure would have burned out the sky, so I suggested that underexposing would be the best option, with post-processing to fix the image. The original photo was very dark everywhere except the sky, so I applied a contrast mask in Photoshop to lighten up the dark bits and darken the brightest clouds. Then I resized, sharpened and put a frame on.

Mt Revelstoke is one of the few places where you can get up to the alpine areas by car. There are several walking trails of various lengths. This view is from the Meadows In The Sky trail, looking toward the Inverness Peaks. Autumn colours were making an appearance here, although it was still officially summer on this day.
