To drive on a river... here is an experiment which one can live in this area in Canadian Arctic.
This ice road on the Mackenzie river, transitory during the winter, makes it possible to go of Inuvik until the community Inuvialuit of Tuktoyaktuk to 190 kms more to North.
A skating road where one drive nevertheless at 80 km/h, the drivers must remain careful! Some cars and heavy lorries (presence of oil drillings in the delta of Mackenzie).
A layer of ice of more than one meter, transparent and with pretty the bluish reflections.
A seasonal road still open until to the end of the month or at the latest until at the beginning of May, closed after ... and Tuktoyaktuk will not be accessible only by planes or boats.
