Cascade Mountain, Banff AB
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Approaching Banff on State Highway 1 (Trans Canada Highway) is the imposing and unmistakable mass of Cascade Mountain. At 3,000 metres, this peak was first climbed in 1887.
This shot was taken through the windscreen of our car as we headed off for a quick scramble up the nearby Johnston Creek before sunset. |

Hello, we are so little compared to these huge rocky moutains; This is especially true in that picture with this mortorway so close to the Cascade moutain. Beautiful shot, really rendering exactly how it is there. Geraldine
Hello Jeff,
This is one of the nicest images of this mountain I have seen. Cascade is a large chunk of rock with nice aesthetic lines. The view from inside the glass look very good and because of winer I see no mosquitos stuck to the windshield. The frozen cascade above the cars is Cascade Waterfall, one of the nicest ice climbs in the rockies. Thanks Jeff.

Hi Jeff,
Wonderful road scene showing massive mountain face righ in front. Sidelight adds 3D impression and snow highlights details beautifully.
