Bay Of Fundy Tides Photo

Photographer’s Note

This small warf is located on Campobello Island which is located on the western edge of The Bay of Fundy where the world's highest tides are found. If you go a bit further east the tides are so powerful that they empty tidal river and leave all kinds of litter on the beach, making for a shell collectors paradise.

Tom,
This is a very interesting place. I assume you caught this with the tide out with the height of the dock. The lighting and colors are great with excellent sharpness and detail. The reflection of the boats and dock give the shot nice depth and balance.

Hello Tom,
Good composition of these little boats under a pleasing ambient light. I like the point of view and the framing that both allow a good juxtaposition between the four craft. Very good colours and clarity.

the light and color are fabulous, excellent detail and I especially like the way the lines of the pier and the boats go in different directions. It's really nice how you can see the land in the distance above the pier, too. VERY well done! Thanks and take good care,

Actually you have another photo that shows the tif=des better than this: the one that shows the boats aground. However, this one is more photogenis with the boats tied low on the dockjs but still in the water. Nice color as well.

this part of the port looks more impressive with the change and play shadows and light.
I like also the way you framed it with the small layer on the top, it gives an unusual effect of depth and works very good.

hello Tom,
I like a lot how you show this busy scene with the dominant white and blue colours keeping it from becoming too chaotic. beautiful light that makes the water look like polished metal, while the red buoys and the Canadian flag provide a nice colour accent. this is very well seen and presented, my compliments.
