[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Photo taken in a farm equipment scrap yard. This tractor caught a cancer called "rust" and it is just too late for treatment as the disease is now spreading all over the internal organs.

Photo prise dans une cour de ferraille d'équipements agricoles. Ce tracteur a développé un cancer "la rouille" et il est trop tard pour opérer car la maladie s'attaque maintenant aux organes internes.

Great shot and funny note too. I always like to see ruins, or decayed machines, which always seem to have so much more character than new ones. The colour of the rust gives a nice contrast with the snow too. Nice work!

il a déjà connu des jours meilleurs ce tracteur, mais cette rouille, cancer des véhicules, a fait son travail, mais donne aussi de belles couleus a ce cliché

Hi Pierre,
I think you should have submitted this as a repost (for this). Anyway I like the more intense red rust tone in this version. I'm not quite sure about framing, it sort of falls between overall view and close-up detail shot.

Bonjour Pierre,

Le coup d'oeil du photographe.
Et dire qu'en des temps meilleurs ce tracteur a fait la fierté de son propriétaire.
Une photo quasi bicolore mais dans laquelle les deux couleurs sont pleines de nuances. Bon cadrage assez serré.

rien qu'en lisant ta note, j'ai eu la chaire de poule.... faut dire que c'est un rude combat, crois moi. Je penserai à cette image lorsqu'on parlera du cancer. C'est un excellent racourçi.

Hello Pierre,
An interesting piece of machinery from times gone by!
I guess there are quite a few old tractors around, and I notice how the rust is doing its job...
Good point of view and tight framing works well, fine contrast with the snowy surroundings!
