Photographer’s Note

Located where the St. Lawrence River merges into the Gulf of St. Lawrence, scenic Pointe-des-Monts, has not changed since the nineteenth century.

Mind you, there's not a lot to change - all that stands on this rocky outcrop is Quebec's second oldest lighthouse dating from 1830 and a small missionary chapel built in 1898.

The lighthouse have since been transformed into a small museum and the house of the keeper is now a small B&B of four rooms, modest but very pleasant.

For those who haven't seen the daylight version, you can have a closer view of the same lighthouse.

P.S.1: There's no tilt, only optical illusion of it.

P.S.2: I could have erased the electric poles, but they are part of canadian reality. Unlike Europe and Australia, we have ugly wires everywhere in our streets, even in nature...
