After taking care of sick patients for a week, I finally got the flu myself and have been in bed feeling sorry for myself. Today I ventured out for some fresh air and snapped a few pictures. The frost was so thick!! The scenery definitely made me feel alot better.

Hi Karen,
I hope you are feeling better now, it's definitely the flu season :( take good care of yourself.
As far as the shot is concerned, it's a good original piece of composition. The snow covered poles and tree looks pretty.
Well done,
Shaeri

Get well soon.

Hi Karen, Your series of the cold snap is very graphic indeed. This is visual proof of just how freezing the temperatures can be in Canada. Good clarity. I hope we never see this here in Sydney! TFS. Murray.

Hello Karen,
so you have succeded in making beautiful also the cables! This image besides the graphic qualities is appreciable for the fact that you have found beauty where often there isn't. A very good eye. The clarity is superb. Hope you get well soon.
Kind Regards.
Stella

Hi Karen. On my first visit to your gallery I learnt that you are engaged in a noble profession of treating the sick. Public health care being a subject in the pursuit of my knowledge I read with interest what made you feel better. And then I looked at this shot. The snow covered wires came really good (though wires are not much liked in TE) along with the hazy environ. Nice. Hope feeling better now. Get well soon and have a nice New Year ahead. Regards.

Hello Karen,
A simple but very effective composition of a subject that people more often than not want to remove from their pictures ;-) Here, the geometric lines of the pole and wires make a good contrast with the frost covered tree. It is well thought out and executed. Get well soon and all the best for 2008!

Oh this is interesting. Little disturbing, I think, looks like a cross. But maybe it's just my interpretation.

So you're working in hardest area in neurology, Alzheimers, it's harsh. Good luck with this work! Happy NY!

Hi Karen!

First of all I wish that you are better with your health by now! Then I would like to congratulate you for this fantastic and very original winter scene! Great "eye" you had here!

Happy New Year to you and all your loved ones!

An interesting shot and the frost adds a lot of interest. Well done.

Hello Karen,
very nice graphistic photo and at the some time a minimalistic one.The verticals and horizontals lines make your capture 'particular'.The colours and the light are well managed. The snowy tree on the right adds a nice stroke in the scene.Informative your note too.

I wish you a Happy New Year with peace and happiness,Danos

hi karen,
i just recovered from my share of the flu..hu..hu..hu!
and i am much better and able to appreciate clearly this one.
you very well placed that pole centrally in your compo and the cables show that warmth is there in this frigid Alberta winter.

Hi Karen,
Beautiful look at these frozen arteries of modern man as they criscross against the blue sky. Pretty patterns to the ice and snow clinging to the old pole.
Regards, Tom

You are not trying to convince me that flu is transmitted by the power/telephone lines?!!! (joking!!!). I like the picture because of the colours on the wires and on the tree. It is also very a graphic presentation. Well done.
Antonio
