Another Great Day Photo

Photographer’s Note

I hope your not going to get sick of my mornings. But from now though the winter the sun will be rising in a spot where I can easily see it so its hard not to go out and photograph the awesome sites I get to see. This time I was standing in our gazebo that sits off the front deck to give a different pov. I did clone out a couple of house number signs but I left the mailboxes this time as it was just too difficult to get them out without ruining the textures in the water.
For those of you who don't know. I live on the shores of Lake Erie.

Hi Donna,
You have captured a wonderful textured sunrise with its brilliant colors simmering over and reflecting beautifully on Lake Erie. The silhouetted mailboxes and tree is another fine element to this excellent photo.

Nice shot. It's not a flat sunrise/sunset, you got lots of details in you picture, the tree and mailboxes on the foreground, clouds on the bacground, and the texture of water. Very nice.

Hi Donna,
By all means keep the mailboxes - they give me the feeling of where I am - we don't have mailboxes like that and I just love those silhouettes!

But I think the letter boxes are a plus. Their silhouettes look fantastic against the morning light. Very beautiful picture. Well done.

Hi Donna,
I like the way the brightest part of the sky is set behind the tree silhouette. Superb scene that gives a good start for the day. Somehow those mailboxes add to homely feeling.
(I also have a chance to enjoy sunrises from my kitchen window. But that's only in midsummer, around 4 AM. So I rarely am awake then.)

you must be truely be kidding. Getting tired of this mornings? No, not really, aslong as you do compositions as you're doing with these interesting foreground with perfect silhouette agianst that glorious colors in the sky. Well off center placement of that tree and the mail boxes. Keep it going, girl!

Hello Donna! Very nicely executed silhouette, full of beautiful early morning colors. The shapes of the tree is accentuated perfectly and the details are very sharp. The texture in the clouds and water are well seen!

Vivid and romantic. The mailboxes do not detract but enhance. I like the way you framed this with the tree and the rather misty background. You are giving us a real tour of this part of the shoreline of Lake Erie. The exposure level seems right on...later.

Yeah, we see a lot of sunrises and sunsets here on TE, but I find this one particularly well taken. The overhanging tree frames the scene nicely, and it was a good idea to position the brightest part of the sky behind it.
It's a bit blocky and pixelated in the shadow areas at the bottom - try posting nearer the 200kb limit to get the best out of your postings. I see that this one is only 92kb.
Good work Donna - I'm sure it looks great at full resolution.

this is a tremendous lake view here in Turkey we do not see that many houses or living places near such perfect views so this photo gives me a chance to compare as well about lifestyles.It is almost perfect , actually I can not find anythings that lack here
