Photographer’s Note
Royal York Hotel, Toronto.
Early morning commuters were moving mostly from Union Station towards the office buildings to the north. Many cut through the shadowy driveway on the side of this landmark Toronto hotel. This chap was doing the opposite, heading from the buildings to the station.
The business district fascinates me, in that people here do the sort of work that would drive me mad, and they do it everyday.

Excellent light management, Alex. IMHO, you have been able to capture a similar feel as the movie 'Citizen Kane'
Great job,
Cheers,

A very bold and original composition Alex. the sea of darkness is menacing and enigmatic. But so is the character, in this setting.I am almost disappointed to hear that he is only a functionary. He has all the menace of a mafiosi or a CIA agent waiting to carry out an assassination. But, it's a great moody image, regards kevin

Again very cool light and shadow work, Alex. You're realy threading the needle here, eh? Caught this one just right with that natural spotlight. The man is perhaps a little too bright - maybe some clever PP workwould bring him around more, but this is very nice work.
best,
Francis

Hi, Alex.
Unique, beautiful mood.
Almost perfect exept some white spots (I would like to mask too or three of them).
Best regards. Grazyna.

Good continuation again of your recent work Alex, a real cinematic type scene here I feel as he wanders through the shadows of the carpark. Really impressed by this stuff mate.

Awesome light work again. As it's been said, this is very cinematic, how he's in the spotlight. Or perhaps it's just a guy heading home from a long night of work. Either way, this is a fascinating photo.
Take care,
Brian

very well done Alex, perfect timing and exposure, a grey light in a dark monochrome world... trentparke-ish.
