Photographer’s Note
Union Station, Toronto.
In the early morning light tired, glazed over faces go to and fro from the train station. It was a workday and most seemed none too pleased about it. It's called the daily grind, and one can almost see their souls slowly being crushed to powder. TGIF.

Hi Alex,
cropped very well with the center (meeting point of the two curves) at the golden ratio. Shadows give a nice rhythm,
cheers Chris

Very well working moody compo. A lot of things come together well here, and you've timed it particualrly well, with the shadows of the people moving into the arches.

HI Alex,
I am with peter on this one. It totally reminds me of Trent Parke's work. Awesome work on the way to work!

Interesting experiment utilising shadows here Alex. I like how you've created a frame within a frame by just making the middle of the frame visible, and of course the absence of actual bodies makes it even more fun!

Cool shadow work here, Alex - you've definitely fund your stride and your style, man. Really very beautiful - again I'd like to see this blown up large on a wall somewhere.
Cheers,
Francis

Once again a fantastic piece Alex, such strong shadows, providing a real strong presence. This kind of style seems to be lacking on TE, I'm glad you're mastering it.

Hi Alex,
I went through your gallery and found an incredible amount of excellent images and very well play with light and shadows. This is one example. A urban atmosphere in which human feelings have been captured with great graphism. Very well done!

Brilliant image Alex! The way you keep my interest in the middle of the frame is striking. All done with light and the absence of it. The two characters, separated by that post, taking opposite directions really boost the atmosphere of this one. Clever, very clever.

It's amazing how much mood is carried by the one shadow toward the center, Alex. It's not so much a soul-crushing mood as a mood of passivity, reinforced by the blank wall and mundane manhole cover. Really fine use of light and shadow. Regards, Ken.
