Photographer’s Note
Yonge St., Toronto.
I was shooting images reflected off glass while walking up Yonge St. when I came upon a store selling stuff for 99 cents. I shot this through the hole in one of those 9s.
I've always been fond of those old shots of Callahan's (and others) with people stepping into and out of shadows in urban areas, I figure that's probably the inspiration for this.

Hi Alex,
Nice shot. Even if the scene seems ordinary, the capture is very original. B&W is perfectly adequate. Well done!

Very nice natural from and excellent reflection. Soft bokeh of the hole is nicely toned, and the contrast of shadow and the man is perfectly done. Excellent stufff...quite classical in taste and composition.
It is heartening to see one can still purchase items for 99c.

Creative image Alex, and the clarity of that reflection really is quite something. Could very easily be a shot from the 70s, with a very retro feel to the shot.

Hi Alex
Here in Europe everybody says Canada is a must country to be visited.
Trough your images one can easily realize that.
