I built this Inuksuk at the foot of my parent's property on the Bay of Quinte. These are used in the Canadian Arctic by the Inuit as markers for navigation on the tundra since there are few natural markers.

That's a great inuksuk, so good that it's hard to believe that you built it yourself! I like the way you silhoetted it against that wonderful sunset too, really making the shape stand out very well. Nicely done!

Perhaps the shot couldn't have been taken at a better time of the day. The sunset hues absolutely fascinating, the ripples in the foreground - very sharp and the Inuksuk adds a very good perspective...the contour actually resembles the top half of a Human being...
Do Inuksuks have a particular shape or can be anything big and distinct ????

Hello Matt! It's a very distinctive image with fabulous colors. I do detect a bit of noise, but that is easily fixed with some noise reduction software.

Very nice sunset on a inuit symbol, i like the colors balancing between the orange sky and the darkness of the Inuksuk.
Many thanks for sharing
