In the Jasper Park , a sight on the Saskatchewan glacier and the valley taken since the Parker mountain.
A pretty point of view which is the reward of an hike by a path in lace through the forest then the alpine tundra strewn with flowers.

Bonjour Jean,
A grand view, no doubt. The glacier and the icy lake where it terminates look impressive. Did you walk down to the lake? Regards,
Hakan

i guess this is one of those glaciers that's been melting down thanks to global warming... impressive view though jean... both the view and the shot are great...

all the best

Hi Jean,
Indeed this is worth the hike ... a nice reward to those who made the effort. The contrast between the pine covered mountain and the rugged snow cap peaks is just fantastic. Well captured and composed. Excellent work! tfs
Cheers,
Renier

Bonjour Jean

I think the fg midtones could use a slight contrast increase, but a superb landscape shot nonetheless. Incidentally, I just visited Lake Baikal, but couldn't get a bus/boat to Olkon Island. (booked out for days). But I did manage to get to Severobaikalsk, Baikalskoe & Listvianka, & will upload shots from there in a few weeks time. I really enjoyed viewing your shots of Baikal to see what I missed. Tfs!

Hello Jean - breathtaking view, I went there about 9 years ago, it's good to see that the glacier hasn't retreated too much, I have a poor scan somewhere, maybe later I will post it to workshop to compare the size opf the glacier.

Bonjour Jean

Hello Jean,
I just commented a photo from Paul Bakker from his tryp in Alasca and I see here again somethign I wouldn't like which is the lack of ice on some places they were supposed to be 'eternal'?!?
You and us are lucky to have the possibility of keeping on photos these sights with what remains of the glaciers even if their size isn't still the same. This is a grand view of the mountains bordering this glacier.
Cheers,
Paulo

Salut Jean
Cette photo mérite plus de succès, car le point de vue permet d'admirer un paysage magnifique.
Belle vue plongeante et vertigineuse qui méritait aussi une version panoramique.
Amitiés.
