Hello Roberto,

What we can say on this photo is there are many lights and what is not usual is the red color dominant: it changes for this kind of night shot.
I think the cropping was well adapted to the scene, it allows to get an equilibrated sharing of the volumes.
The little stars on the bottom, the floor lamps, are nice.

I'm jealous! I wanted to take a picture of the full moon, but the sky is cloudy here :-(
You've done a great job! Nice shot! Your photo is splendid, with a good play of lights and the composition is magnificent.

Parece una escena de Navidad con tantas luces tan bonitas, me gusta esta foto, Calgary en la noche ha de ser muy interesante, con mucha vida.

Cuando tenia 15 anos vivia en la ciudad de Mexico y ponia un programa en le radio llamado Magic nigths con musica muy rica de los 80's y me imaginaba manejando en la noche traves de una ciudad como esta, con unos edificios tan bellos cmo este.

Gracias por recordarme viejos tiempo, dicen que recordar es voler a vivir.

Hi Roberto,
I like the composition a lot. This arrangement of lights added by the moon works good. The change of light in the layers forces the eye to have a close look to the skyline and then it jumps to the moon, before it comes back to the spots in the upper part. It is not enough sense for a workshop, but I made one try in Neat Image for the noise in the sky, I think it would help.

Uh oh, You've got the moon bug!! Next thing you know you'll be checking for moonrise & set times around full moon. I do like this urtban moon shot. The bright city lights provide balance for the brightness of the moon. The street lights look like stars, is that a special filter? HLJ, Pat

Hi Roberto:

I think the cropping is fantastic, myself. Those twinkling lights near the bottom add a lot to the picture, in my opinion--they keep it from being just rows of buildings and lighted windows, as does the moon of course. I was planning on going out last night to photograph the full moon myself, but I was too busy to go anywhere decent to shoot it. Great job.

I don't think cropping it tighter would make it better because one of my favorite parts is the starbursts from the lights now there. Excellent job with exposure, which is so hard to get right at night. Well done and nice changeup!!

Great night shot over the city and the long exposure gives a nice star effect on the lamp street. The view in the far with the buildings and the crane give a sense of depth to your image. Of course, the moon is a plus...

Roberto, I see that you changed you working hours and place. I didn't look into your collection for a while to realize that you're now specializing in urban night shots. I have the impression that you gave a very good start by including this full moon. At the same day I was shooting the moon myself in the Owen Valley. Unfortunately not quite stunning and successful as you did it here. Congratulations for this fine picture.
