I have been to Sask and have returned with some new appreciation for the land of the living skies. This photo was taken on one evening while I was there last week. I deliberately left the majority of the frame for the sky above because it overtakes your senses when you are accustomed to looking above the mountains to see sky in BC. But it seems you almost look downwards find the sky dancing in all its beauty in Saskatchewan. Enjoy.
Note.. I know the hydro pole is leaning inwards because of the distortion on the 17-85 lens at the bottom end. And yes Daniel the photo IS level. It only seems that way to you because you have to accept the fact that there are some places in Sask where the land is not entirely flat. Enjoy!

I understand totally, "no where but in Saskatchewan" do you see the living skies as your picture so marvellously demonstrates! The point of view is so "prairie" typical and the colors, well, they truly speak for themselves. Excellent work and thanks for waiting for just the right moment for this one - it was well worth it. Gheeeeesh. Touchy touchy! ;-) Haha
So what is it Paul? Is it the barrell distortion of the 18-55mm or is the land not 'entirely flat'? Excuses excuses...
All joking aside Paul, this is a very nice scene. Great colors and good tonal levels in my opinion. However- in all honesty, there does seem to be some texture in the sky, almost like noise... I think you might have benefitted from selective Neat Image to fix it (I'll try a workshop when I get home?)
The last is not a suggestion, but more of a personal preference...I'd cropp about 2 fingers width off the top for more of a panoramic which kind emphasizes the flat lanscape.
All the best Paul, have an Awesome weekend!

Beautiful colour! The land of the Skies is a very appropriate name for this place. While the sky is the star of the show here, the road is well placed to add some interest in the foreground. Looks like you had a nice trip, and I'm looking forward to seeing the photos.

A strange light, illuminating the post and the reddish cloud, almot surrealistic.
