Photographer’s Note

Most visotrs to Waterton National Park head up to the townsite, and sometimes to the end of one of the roads at Cameron Lake. But there is another road that heads away from town that takes you out to another wild part of the park. Just 30 minutes up the road is the Red Rocks area, These falls are a mile walk from there. They are wonderful in the spring when the snow is melting, like it was on this day.

Hi Mike,
Interesting scene showing a waterfall making a bend. The platforms give a good idea of the perspective, and it's nice to see some surrounding nature too. But I think that the platform in the foreground would have given a better POV, especially as the fg here is a bit overexposed.

Ah, a 'modern' view of the falls! After some tourists lost their footing and fell in, parks decided to put up all these railings, which is a shame, since in my opinion, it spoils the pristine view. I was looking feverishly for a shot I took years ago from in close in winter, but can't find it.

Hi Mike, hope you are keeping well. For me its always nice to see the "bigger picture" on TE sometimes as I use it as a valuable source for travel information If I am heading that way. Here you give a good vertical composition of this amazing place. If possible I may have moved farther to the left to expose the fall more. Well done..
