British Columbia's mountains have been storing snow well into the spring, as cold weather has failed to melt the snow caps.
This week, we have finally reached "spring temperatures" and the rivers are rising, with many low-laying towns now on flood alert.
This particular river is on Vancouver Island, and runs alongside the #4 highway near Cathedral Grove forest preserve. I used a slow shutter to exaggerate the effect of fast flowing water in later afternoon light.
I like the colours as much as the various textures captured here. |
