Photographer’s Note
Second day on the hiking trip. It was a very cold night with tempratures down to -10°C
October isn't the best time to hike in the Yukon.
Because of the long nights at that time of year, you will have to be in your tent for 11 hours and that's kind of boring when you only sleeps 6-7 hours. But then again when the day comes and the weather is sunny it's so beautiful.
Yukon has the highest population of grizzlies in Canada and when hiking around here it's a good idea to bring a bear spray. Amazingly I didn't meet any bears here and I'm not quite sure if I was that keen on it :)
The reason why I didn't meet any bears, is probably because they start their denning in this time.
Have fun...

Hi Christian, The view is very clear which gives great depth, although the shot lacks colour, it is still a lovely & well composed photo, very sharp & I can believe very cold, kind regards Wilson.

Hi Christian, this is a very romantic landscape, the sky and mountains are beautiful, almost serene looking. Hard to imagine they are hiding such creatures as 'grizzlies'. Regards, Jean

Hi Christian,
This image is an amazing presentation of the endless expanse of the north. The forground catches the viewers attention and leads the eye into the scene to enjoy this fine image. Great work and thanks for sharing. Gerald
