This is a view from a balcony on the 17th floor in DownTown Hamilton about 10 minutes after sunset. I made a few try, at first I wanted to post only the church and the trees on the left but finaly decided to include a part of the town on a eastern view, Toronto beeing just over 100 km driving at an angle of 45° to the left from this view. Hamilton is the fourth largest city in Ontario after Toronto, Ottawa and Mississauga. On January 1, 2001, the Towns Ancaster, Dundas, and Flamborough, the Township of Glanbrook and the Cities of Hamilton and Stoney Creek were amalgamated and became the new City of Hamilton, total population near half a million.
Postprocess : Ran autocolors and contrast and crop a bit for better composition.

La vie d'une ville en mouvement ! J'aime beaucoup cette composition Pierre, elle est naturelle et nous invite à découvrir une ville pleine de contrastes (mariant l'ancien et le moderne).
Très bien fait. Merci pour la note.

Very good light conditions in the pix where the fading light creates a fine mood while at the same time you suceeded to have the fine effect of lamps and the warm glow form the windows. Good job, well composed Pierre.

Great shot of evening. The streets are really nicely lit from both the artificial lighting and the natural lighting still seeping through. And the buildings all appear nice and crisp. The atmosphere is nice and cloudy and a bit thick which really helps the lights and buildings to slowly disappear into the distance. It's a nice view of Hamilton, even getting a hill to show the difference in the topography from just 20 km west where it is still so flat. Good job.

A very nice "downtown at dawn" shot, Pierre. Fine perspective across the roofs, and good effect of the illuminated windows from the church site all the way back into the hazy area on the horizon. Good color setting, too, thanks for sharing this well-made photo.

An excellent choice to include a wider view Pierre. That gives a much more interesting information about this town. Good night shot (there are never easy), with good exposure. Nice blue cast and the hazy background adds a feel of depth. Not much but very good colours and contrast. I think that there must be still more animation later in the night. You could also try a shot with less natural light. Very good shot anyway Pierre.

The city seems to be very pleasant. This is good moment of the day choosen to create a rich, warm, somehow happy feeling.

Bien vu, Pierre.
