| Spring is here too, not just in Europe, at least for some happy ducks. Splashing in shallow, free of ice, part of marina. All the ducks were behaving like little children, noisily fooling around in water taking invigorating spring bath. The little ones usually shy away from humans but here their space was rather limited and they did not even try. It is alway great pleasure to see wildlife behaving freely without too much of restrain, specially in a crowded city. |

The striking thing about this image even from the thumbnail are the ripples. I like the way you have captured the splashes made by father duck too. Interesting to see the still frozen section of the lake next to the lovely blue of the rest.

Hallo Chris!
You are sure that spring has reached Canada? I can see some ice in your photo...The bis duck obviously is enjoying the open water. Interesting "cold" colours here with these three creatures. The icy part of the picture works very well.

Excellent shot! Thanks to the ripples we discover the movement the duck makes, taking its bath. Good colors and composition.

Hello Chris,
At us lakes also already fill with ducks. Drakes begin to rival for most handsome ducks. the weather adds the public meeting the companionship is very loquacious... The nice, spring-picture though how I see the water still partly frozen. Very nice blues reflex in the water, the nice composition.
