Strange, the disconnectedness we tend to focus on, while innately we are fulfilled only when feeling connected. The egos do their own little shortsighted rituals, casting aside the reality only approachable by something deeper.
(These thoughts were just about that came to mind when I looked at the shadows people were casting one late afternoon...)

I've decided to post this original, colour version as I liked the blue shadows, but I have uploaded the duotone in the Workshop.

hello
funny idea, well seen, good composition
regards
jo

Sarolta: a very, very dynamic, abstract geometric compo. I think kind of shot requires an eye removed a certain bit from reality. Artistically seen. best, c

Hi Sasa,
was just about to turn the PC off (as I can't
keep my eyes open anymore), but curiosity was
stronger... and then I almost burst into laughter
seeing these people walking in opposite direction,
bodies and movement being turned into animation,
shapes and moves like harmonica... the far right
reminding me instantly of a character from Oliver
Twist... well, yes - great intro for my next activity!
Excellent one!
Robi
now: zzzzzz....

I like it! accordian people! Great shot, TFS

Fantastic, playful image Sarolta - reminds me of Bertie Bassett - always assuming that's really a flat wall ;)
Regards
Colin

Nice art of shadow, Sasa
Very original idea and unigue style. Those zig zag shadow create a very outstanding visual.
Inovative idea.

Hi Sasa,
Your innovativeness always amazes me, Wonderful worl with the light and the crooked shadows.

Simple, clean...playing with shadows, sort of like me in my latest post. The separation here is very clear and easy to read, thanks to you catching the sihouettes in a readable way...not always easy to make shadows not come out like blobs.

Ces silhouettes-accordéons sont étranges....beau coup d'oeil et très bon rendu (je préfère cette version légèrement colorée)

Hi Sasa,
Very smart shot!! The lines and the graphic of this compo are just great..
I like the way those two silouhettes are going to a different direction than the other person..
Brilliant!

Hi Sasa,
simple and effective !
The shapes and the textures are really graphical.
I like the deformation on the shadows, the second one is well seen because it's not a human shadow... it creates an artificial border.

Quite a profound association from this image and that great old song. I wonder why I've stopped playing it regularly.

Quite agree about the touch of blue here.

Hi Sarolta,

creative and graphical, I like this very much...

Take care, Ivana

Hi Sasa,
WOW. Amazing composition. The shadows projected on the wall against all the geometric lines is superb. Great note, and most of all, which starts with one of my favourite songs.
Well Done (as usual)
Take Care
Fred

Very cool result, Sasa, once again your creative vision at work here. The rippled texture of the vents in the wall gives a fun "corkscrew-ish" appearance to the passing folks. Good choice to keep the blue shadows versus a b&w, I think.

Très bonne composition.
J'aime beaucoup.
Bravo

bonjour Sasa, very funny shot, abstract and graphic in the same time... good idee, have a god day

Hi Sarolta,

Clever and original, these wavy shadows are graphically rich. Your angle is perfect to catch the scene ina nice perspective.

The ondulations created by the structure is awesome, as they transform the human silouette in something visually superior. The first character looks like coming out of a circus, with an egg body shape, funny hat and a flute in his hands.

Catchy shot!

André

Hi, Sarolta.
I've never seen this kind of shadows !!!
Funny effect and good idea.
Best regards. Grazyna.

i must say this one is a total winner! the shadows on these aeration grills that destructure them is a blast for me! you are the best:-)!
bisous
Eric

Hi Sasa, I like this one a lot... another one of those graphic images with human implications. Thoughtful and thought-provoking photography.

I also like the way we see these people in shreds, torn apart in horizontal slices.

this shadow game is great... i like the way you see the world sasa... very simple... very innovative... very beautiful...

take care

korkut:)

Just when we think we have you figured out you throw us another marvellous curve ball, Sasa! Great idea, these accordeon shadows, but who would have seen it?
I'm just shaking my head here...and smiling.
Bless you,
Francis

Hi Sasa
superb graphical work...interesting that for such a graphical image colour version works, imho, much better than the duotone; i find the blueish tone of shadows work so well with the silvery concerete tiles. again it amazes how you could create high-qua art out of ordinary places!
bravo

Hi Sarolta.

You are very suggerent and subtle. In your photo these shadows look great and you've done a very nice photo.

In some way they're walking as us.

Take care.
Hasta pronto.

Hi Sasa, brilliant one, painting the shadows as waves!
excellent light capture and brilliant POV.
thanks, ciao

Looks good Sarolta, the grill does a great job of cutting the shadows up and giving another element to the shot. I like the white as well, don't think this would have worked as well if it were a grey ugly wall.

Hello Sarolta,

Une image très graphique mais qui rapporte indirectemnt à la vie et à l'agitation urbaine sans la montrer ! Joli tour de force ! Bravo !

hi sasa,
when seeing this image i couldnt help feeling that this photo has lots in common with this work by kev ryan:

funny, intelligent work, with great visual effect,
bw, j.

Brilliant! The accordion like human shadows are wonderful. They are so plastic, so strange and at the same time so funny. Just like the sci-fi cartoon characters. Love the post vertical shadow (I guess Pascal was talking about this) splitting the scene in two. They are already disconnected by their walking direction, but that post just makes things clearer. It's indeed a very clever shot...

WOOOOW Sasa!!!
great!
great graphic impact!great composition, great shadows!
unreal world!wonderful lights and texture!!
in my fav!
ciao!
Valeria

It's just such a curious image - like Robi I'm staring at it and reflecting with some fascination - the distortion of the human form - those blue figures connecting me to Matisse....to my own fascinations with shadows and distortions.....the rippling effect on the transitory nature of human passing......sometimes we mightb get a truer sense of the reality of our existence from such images........do you know what i mean?

bw Kev

Walking shadows. We change to shadows, disconnected shadows. Nobody cares for the other. Only our self. All the others are invisible. They are shadows. Who cares for the shadows?
Go your own way and forget all the others.
It's really pity.
Thanks, you remind us how stupid we are.
Have you a nice week end
Kostas

Hi Sarolta,
The first time I saw this pic, I got this strange not so good feeling, it kinda reminded me of people losing, disappearing, gone! As I read others critiques, I realized that your photo created different emotions in all of us, we all saw different things in this abstract photo, I salute that, I salute every photo that will wave my emotions a bit.
Regards,
Gordana

hard to find a title for this one :-)... accordion men(?).. once again your graphic designer eyes.. (you are "designsoul".. did anyone ever tell you you have the aptest username on te?)... and the composition!... (wonder how many you took before this perfect arrangement & posture of shadows...) very close to a fav for me... if there was something subtle (any (colorful) non-shadow ...) in the frame...

Salut Sasa,
Chouette composition !
Ce que j’aime ici, c’est les couleurs réduites au minimum !
Belle image, très dynamique et énigmatique en même temps !
Beau travail

You have a great eye to takenote of this ordinary street view and convert it in to an abstract. I learn a lot from this , thanks for the shot.

Hi Sasa,

This is absolutely a beautiful picutre. Very abstract. The texture and the reflection are just superb. Very sharp. Sothy

Hi Sarolta
YES .. I like this one. Your glance is full with imagination. Excellent composition and contrasts.
I really like

hello Sasa,

simple and great, what can i say more ?
but that is what art is about.
greetings, inn

Hi Sarolta.
It's an arduous task framing this......

My salutes to you. TFS.

Hi Sarolta,
nice idea, looks like a shadow theatre. I like the line and shadows walking to the oposite sites from this vertical line. Walking their own ways.
Best regards,
Stanislav

Hi Sarolta,

Funny effect and good idea to take these shadows. It gives graphic effect.
