[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Sunday morning there were a few green leaves visible above the ground. The sunny day the weatherman had promised was foggy instead and overnight we had a lovely warm rain. When the rain stopped just before noon yesterday, these bright yellow harbingers of spring smiled up at me. But I noted with some wryness that the bunny that I spotted in the yard a weeks earlier had evidently found the crocuses before I did, and enjoyed the tender tips of the blossom.
Tech: shot in RAW, converted to jpg, cropped, framed and cloned in a reduced version of the bunny I had "shot" some weeks earlier.
Thank you everyone for your visits and critiques
I shall pop around to your galleries over the coming week (my excuse to take breaks from packing)

Hello Silke,
I notice a general feeling of spring coming over the TrekEarth site.
This is a nice macro shot of the lovely (but nibbled) yellow crocuses, with an interesting frame.
Sort've reminds me of a Beatrix potter tale!.
Regards from a sunny-springtime-England, David.

Clever idea showing the creativity in you, Silke. Good, saturated colors on the crocuses. Hope the move went well. Best wishes,
Hakan

Hello Silke,
Beautiful macro with nice yellow color and I can see many details of these flowers, well done.

Hi Silke,
quite different from my current pictures buit never mind you have here a nice isolation of your subject by both aperture and color, amazing indeed this can be achieved @ f/13 !
Have a nice day JY

Pierre

Hi Silke,
Vibrant yellow to harken the seasonal change with the well detailed water droplets. I love the muted autumn leftovers in the background and of course the long earred thief.
Regards, Tom

fine spring view, beautiful flowers, funny accent up. I like it. Good idea and work.

Hi Silke,
good combination with the bunny but nothing for a preview. What a lucky guy I am after having a look at the full one. Wonderful detail capture of such a normal thing we do not detect in regular. You made a great present for us.
Lieben Gruss, Ulf

Hi Silke,
Your framing is funny! Alwys great to see these first signs of spring. Bright yellow show up so well against dead leaves.

Hi Silke, this is a beautiful, clear shot, all the more eye-catching for its simplicity. The little bunny in the corner is an original touch - good work! Regards,
Ryno

Hi Silke,
This is lovely with natural loking colors and the inclusion of dirt on the yellow petals provide good contrast. Funny that you included a bunny as it reminds me that squirrels have dug up and eaten most of the crocus bulbs that I planted from last fall. Best wishes, Danilo

Hi, Silke.
What a neat shot!! I love crocus and you have captured the color and detail of these beautifully. It's very nice in contrast to the browns of the leaves. That's such a cool thing you did with the bunny picture, too. Reeeeally nice shot!! Good wishes,
Shelly

Hello Silke,

The yellow colors and its tones are fabulous with green parts. You excellently captured a great macro while adding Bunny’s photos to your frame that’s good idea. Congratulations.

Hello Silke

A great up close shot of spring.
Recently the flowers have been popping up everywhere here in Norway as well and there is no doubt in mind that warmer weather and longer days are drawing closer each day.

The photo sfinish here looks good, a steady result full of detail.
The added info about who has been nibbling here makes sense.
Colours are clear and warm.
DOV is good as well, but I can't say it is perfect. If possible I would have attempted to avoid that last flower on the left. I feel it is just in the edge and the addition of it being slightly out of focus almost has a negative effect on the attention given to the other flowers.
Thank you for sharing.

Hi Silke!
Very nice picture! The colours are great, well contrasted to the dark background. The water droplets give the freshness to the flowers and enhance the pleasent image. Well taken!

Zeca

Bonsoir Silke,

Absolument fascinante, cette image des quatre crocus orangé avec la rosée du matin en prime..

Tout aussi intéressant les étapes successives suivies avant d'arriver au produit final.

Jean-Pierre

Hello Silke,
I just love your title. I have found that birds sometimes take the yellow crocuses as well. A lovely close-up of the crocuses, whole and eaten! Great colours and natural b/g. I hope you don't mind but I did a little w/s, just for my own pleasure, because I love to see a composition of 3 flowers and perhaps not to see half flowers.
Kind regards, my friend,
Bev :-)
