This field is not supposed to be covered with water, but we have had so much rain the last couple of weeks that everything is practically floating away. It may not be much good for the farmers, but it sure looks nice when you can get reflections like this. This was taken in the farmlands south of Vancouver, only about 10km from the US border.

hi alvin

lovely rich colours and a fine composition give this rural scene a tranquil feel. the reflection certainly caps it off. ig only we could get this rain in australia, we'd happily float away! nice job

Hi Alvin. I'm thinking I went through Surrey when I got off the BC Ferry from Victoria to Vancouver. Does that sound right? That's an awesome sky and light you had. The grad ND was perfect for this shot to maximize your sky. Super shot Alvin!

Hi Alvin,
This shot is amazing! The relentless rains have left both beauty and dispair - like destroyed homes in Mission. Great pastoral scene with reflections where water should not be in such abundance. Great work and thanks for sharing. Gerald

very well captured. It often rains heavilly in Malaysia too and often things get floaten away. except that you can hardly get this beautiful reflection with muddy watters. anyway thanks for sharing. i marked it my fav.

It's a really nice composition, Alvin, and that's especially admirable since it was taken of a not-obviously-photogenic scene, something I always give mental bonus points for. I guess it's the placement of the fence and its reflection that does it for me. Just so you know I'm not fawning over it, I'll say that the sky looks a little oversaturated. Regards, Ken.

Hi Alvin,
My pleasure in this great sky is doubled by its equally beautiful reflection. I know the area well and this is a surprising sight. Have you seen Pablo's barns of the world? I've added you photo to the theme. HLJ, pat

Hi Alvin,
Beautiful image and comp. The reflecrions the dominance of the blue, green colors with the little yellow and red sprinkled, the right contrast with the gate shadow detail is wonderful.

Hi Alvin,

The reflections are great in this shot and the rich colours are fantastic, good work with the filter too, exposure is nicely balanced.

Some very well saturated colours, nice POV and an interesting barn!

Hi Alvin
>I feel wet just looking at it, you got here a very nice pov to present this luminous view with good depth and superb reflection, I like it
Have a nice day JY

Hi Alvin,
This reminds me so much of Carper's work! This format is so typical of him. Excelllent reflections that you have got here. Nice refreshing colours.

Very nice photo, Alvin, with vivid colors all around and a good use of the temporary flooding to give a dream-like and tranquil feel by the way in which tou included the foreground details and reflections. It works surprisingly well in the square format.

Wonderful capture! A very nice farm scenery. The fence and its reflection alone can stand on its own as a photo composition.

Bonjour Alvin,
des fermes typiquement canadiennes ou du moins du NOrd de l'Amérique .
Un point mis sur les réflections d'un ciel serein, bien bleu. parcouru de nuages bien marqués.
Des couleurs bien distribuées.
Best regards.
Daniel.

Hi Alvin,
Good use of the fence here, with a fine reflection, to balance the frame. The lush green grass provides superb contrast with the reddish rusty barn facade and the crisp clear scene may, as your note indicates, break the farmer's heart, but presents a gift to the photographer. The large format works well, with the large cloud reflected on the left most effective. Cheers.
John

Hej Alvin,
The water indeed is very nice in this photo. The reflections are very attractive. The colours of the buildings are a nice contrast with the many blue colours. Also the clouds look very fine. Well done!
Hilsen,
Lars

Send some of that rain our way won't ya? We could really use it, probably this summer it will be forbidden to flush the toilet after taking a leak down here in the coastal desert. Enough rant, awesome light and timing, even the centered subject works well because the cloud above and the half submerged fence provide a balance.

Hi Alvin!
The picture looks like a painting. Beautiful composition with the dark fence in the foreground contrasting nicely against the brighter parts of the picture. Great shot
