“Out port house” is the name of this photograph. This photograph was taken in the small community of South Dildo in Trinity Bay which is located 75 minutes from St. John’s. If you look closely at the photograph you’ll notice that the pavement is not perfect but the road is in very good condition.
Most people in out port (rural) own their own home with no mortgage. This is possible because everyone helps out in building a new home so labor costs are non existent.
These homes are built to survive the harsh weather conditions. I had to stop and take a photograph of this wonderful some little home. I hope you enjoy the photograph as much as I enjoyed taking it.
