Photographer’s Note

This is the lighthouse at Amphitrite Point, near Uclulet, British Columbia. It is located on the West Coast of Vancouver Island, a popular vacation spot for many people. It is about a 4 hr (give or take) drive from my home town. The photo was taken before sunset.

Hello Lars,
First I would like to say thank you for visiting my photo of Yaquina Lighthouse. I would also like to say that this is the first I have seen of this type of lighthouse. It is a simple structure of cubes....I guess a bit more like the river lighthouses here in Oregon. Very nice clarity and pov....I like the ocean in the distance. My family and I took a vacation to Vancouver Island in August of 2005 and I want to go back. We drove there taking hwy 101 all they way up the Oregon and Washington Coastline, then took the Ferry Boat. I was so happy to have that kind of time with my family....What a beautiful place!
