This is the Ultramar gas plant, there is so much light there that it seem to be day in the middle of the night, its call Jean Gauvin Raffinerie, transforming brute fuel into gasoline. To night the temp is -35`C its reeel cold and its real humid and gave a dramatic look of polluting the earth with all that smoke rushing out of the huge chimney-stack.For you to enjoy.Alain

Incredible photo! Very well done to make a great photo out of buildings that would normally be not very photogenic at all. The colour of the photo gives a very industrial feel. Thanks for sharing,

Hi Alain, from the thumbnail at first I thought this was fireworks. I am not disappointed though. This has turned out to be a beautiful shot with great colour. Is that smoke or steam reflecting that light? In any case it was well seen and captured by you.

Very nicely done Alain, this is a very appealing industrial landscape. I thought at first that it was overexposed, but at a second look, it's probably just fine. Very orange everything. I would guess it's mostly steam coming out of the chimney stacks. This has potential to deliver more good images.

I've seen your beautiful "heating up" shot before but this "Lighting up" shot give a different fantastic scene.
Red hot tone did a great job to those cloudy smoke agaist dark sky. Some foreground smoke at the bottom add a soft touch. Nice lighting of the factory.

Hello Alain ,
very successful exposition for this night shot, and pretty clean composition for this unusual industrial view...
( I thing you could straighten a litle bit the horizon)

Hi Alain - I never imagined such an industrial sight could ever look so beautiful, with the stated air temperature, this is what hell must look like when it freezes over.

I like this one - it really shines in the night :-)
Very good exposure control - the result looks like it is from some other planet.
I also noticed your previous image of the same place taken during the day.
Could be interesting if they were both taken from the same spot - to try and make some mixture....

Strange shot Alain
The light on this plant makes it look like it is burning.
Very interesting shot and an original idea.
