Photographer’s Note
Small flat rocks that suggest a road in landscapes are known here as "japanese steps". They are quite popular right now in landscaping. A friend of mine knew I wanted to put some around the house and offered me two with an inscription on them: "un petit pas pour l'homme" (one small step for a man) on one, and "un grand bond pour l'humanité" (one giant leap for mankind). Yesterday, I had the pleasure to see this butterfly who seemed to have chosen the very best spot under the message to make the picture interesting.

Quite a contrast, this butterfly on this coarse stone. How many wing strokes equals one giant step? A fine play. Nice pic, Martine.
