The Peace Garden - Kitsilano Photo

Photographer’s Note

Situated at the entrance to the fantastically chilled area of Kitsilano the Peace Garden is an open area of ground frequented by some of the more inventive and industrious rough sleepers of the city - bounded by roads it's a little island of green....opposite there is an army barracks......other parks in Kits front some of the more spectular city/sea and mountainscape views of this city........I just dream of the place.......

Hi Kev. The shadows look good here, as does the black and white. Unfortunately, to get those shadows, it seems you had to work in some difficult light and I am afraid that for me the blowouts in the background do detract. Good use of the lines on the ground.

Ah.... back to BC I see. The high contrast shot has really brought out the shadows well. I'm guessing from reading your note- that there's more BC trips to come?

Hi Kev... I love this shadows, branches are one of my favourite subject and give live to my imagination, kind of laberynths were the eye can get lost without any danger. Here I also like how you drive our regard to the background (although I find it a bit less interesting) and this two girls... Gracias.

Great photo from another point of view that you make us wandering how upper part of the trees look like, contrast is great.
