Photographer's Note

A shallow lake in Abitibi. The are thousands upon thousands of these shallow lakes in Abitibi, Québec. These shallow depressions where cleaned out during the last ice age, by moving glaciers. Now vegetation is growing, and their waste are slowly filling up these lakes, turning them into swamps, then bogs, and later on prairies or forest. The fishing is awsome, here, and people come from all over the world to enjoy this sport. In winter these make excellent snowmobiles playground, with winter roads streching thousands of kilometres.
