On a damp and cheerless fall/winter day, this little branch of Virginia creeper, blazing red, had crept through the dull gray fence to bring a cheer to the observent passerby.
Vancouver is settling in for months of rain, and soon these leaves will have vanished - for this year at least.
May all you in temperate climes winter well.....
