Photographer’s Note

Vancouver is internationally renowned for its beautiful scenery and has one of North America's largest urban parks, Stanley Park. The North Shore Mountains dominate the city landscape and on a clear day scenic vistas include the snow-capped volcano Mount Baker in the State of Washington to the southeast, Vancouver Island across the Strait of Georgia to the west and southwest, and the Sunshine Coast to the northwest.
In 2006, Vancouver was ranked the 56th most expensive city to live among 144 major cities in the world, and the 2nd most expensive in Canada (after Toronto).Despite this, Vancouver is consistently ranked in the top five most livable cities in the world.
With beauty such as this- there really is no wonder why Vancouver is the third largest film production centre for US-based productions in North America after Los Angeles and New York, giving it the nickname "Hollywood North".
This is my favorite city...

- Dan

Nice shot of the Vancouver skyline from the north shore. This gives a good overview, and also has a pleasing curve as the building get higher toward the centre. You got some unusual reflections off the water in the middle - I wonder what caused those? I like the decision to use a long horizontal frame, and to put Canada Place in the centre - looks great!

Hi Dan,
Great shot of the Vancouver skyline. The lines in the water give it even a more dramatic look. I love the panorama view which brings lots of details and beautiful lighting. Well done, Dan...I like this shot very much!
Greetings,
Ann
