Hi Hugh.
The ginkgo biloba is a tree I like very much. Of course it can be a huge one and its color in autumn is just amazing, but it's also a fascinating treen due to its specificities. First, and even it produces real leaves that are falling in winter, it doesn't makes flowers (or real fruits, as the angiospermae) as we could expect. In fact, the gincko biloba is closer to the coniferous (called gymnospermae) as pines or epiceas. It's also a real living fossil that did not evolved since the early mesozoic. This is due to its amazing ability to endure the most extreme conditions: just imagine that a gingko survived the Hiroshima bombing!
That's just a few reasons that makes this tree special... Hope it wasn't too boring!

Thanks for sharing!

Beautiful colours and reflections. A frame would help to emphasize the composition. Nice photo.
