Photographer’s Note
He was sitting there for weeks, hoping someone would discover and buy some of his forlorn treasures. Perhaps he was not hoping at all. Perhaps, with time standing still, he was just sitting there with a cigarette butt in hand, observing people sporadically passing by in that strange, unkempt neighbourhood in which you are advised not to carry your wallet in your hand. Another view of Ottawa--with a view of Toledo--another Toledo than Greco's. Yesterday, when I was passing by after work, I still saw Toledo at the same place... beat up and forgotten.
This time I like the colours in the shot, so no sepia today ;-)

Hi Sasa,
It is beeing a long time no?
I love this one, the sharpness and the subject is audacious. Great bokeh, but I muss admit I miss a bit your reflection on this one, but it is 2 smilies anyway...

I like this first of all as a genre I sometimes try myself when travelling - strong focus in the foreground object, person in the background in a bokeh zone.
I further like it here because it is a knd of "raw departure" fo you into something perhapsless slick but more gritty, and totally apropriate to the setting.
Am I making sense?
Good morning from a grey and overcast Tokyo,
Francis

Hi Sarolta,
An excellent shot of this black scale. Very sharp and you could even read the funny text: no springs honest weight. I love the blurred background with man watching what is going on.
Cheers,
Ulf

Hello,
Une jolie image colorée à souhait! J'aime bien la profondeur de champ qui donne la vedette à cette balançe ! Excellent point de vue !
Bravo pour avoir gardé la couleur cette fois !

I don't understand why less comments on this one...
I like it... My eyes goes to the "Toldeo", then to the green puppet and then on the red pants of the man... and his face. A sort of travel around this image. Thanks for it! : )

Nice contrast between the foreground and background with a nice blurred placement of the person.
