What a beauty, Doug. I like the perfect reflections in the still water and how they are broken from one side by this bright spot of boats. The shadow on the left with its reflection is brilliant, looks like an open mouth...;)

Tremendous picture! The polarizer did its job here, nice! Plus a clear object, perfectly situated and ephasized by the vivid red, mountain's shadow doesn't cover details, the sky is quite interesting.

I never get tired of seeing the Rockies, especially when the view is presented so well. Great reflection giving this a symmetrical look, and the red of the boats makes a nice accent. The colour looks a little washed out, especially the trees, but I'm not sure what could be done about that. Great work!

been contemplating a polariser..perhaps i better get over there first...
most landscapes here are moody and indistinct..
i do like the way you get the rocks to stand out and the water super soft effect..and i can now see the benefits of RAW although i cant deal with it at present..
really good shots these of a natural beauty brought to light and enhanced by the camera

Hi Doug,

This is a beautiful photo of lake Louise, with the red canoes in the foreground and the reflection of the forest and of the Rocky mountains init which is givinf a special effect to the photo. It has a good composition, DOF and nice colors. Thanks for sharing.
