Photographer’s Note

Took this shot this afternoon at St-Basile-Le-Grand, located approximaly 20km (12 miles) from Montreal on the southbound. Unfortunately I missed the train, I never heard it came from my back and when I turn..."boummm" there it was silentness, he did not stop at this station so he was going pretty fast, I would have liked to have it in the picture just past the station, but at least we can see beautiful Mount St-Hilaire in the background.

Modification: Adjust level and contrast and removed an ugly sign of a grocery store.

Très belle réalisation Pierre, bien cadrée, belle couleur. Une p'tit chose c'est ce lampadaire en premier plan, il dérange l'oeil, je sais par contre que ce n'est pas facile de l'éviter. Je connais bien l'endroit car j'y demeure, il y a des couchers de soleil magnifique a réaliser a cette endroit, bien entendu en sens inverse. ;-) Bel effort.

This could use, perhaps, just a little sharpening. I love the leading lines of the road and fences. Fun point of view.

There is nothing wrong with the picture, small comment?.

Good sharp, good compoced, good light, good contrast, good color, and wonderful perspective.

what a great station shot, I have never seen anything like it, it is strange and wonderful to see and the tracks that dissappear in the beyond is nice too well done

Hi Pierre,
Many good quality photos in your gallery but this one caught my attention for some reason (and I'm not even into trains!).
Must be that feeling of always interesting architectural solutions when it comes to train stations.
This one is not an exception.
PS. ...and I think it's even better without a train, IMHO.
