Photographer’s Note
The longest bridge in Canada and the longest bridge in the world on a frozen water in the winter. It links Prince Edward Island with New Brunswick.
I was on a guided tour and I only had 15 min to take pictures of the bridge. It was very windy and stormy but I still took the risk to go down on the slippery rocks to take this shot.

BW works good here. The contrast between lights and shadows are great. Composition is also very good. You forgot to mention how long the bridge is... I became curious ;-)

The bridge is 12.9 kilometers long (just over 8 miles) according to a web site I found. My guess is that a color version of this photo wouldn't look all that much different than this b&w. Due to the POV it looks like a bridge to nowhere and could easily be crossing an entire ocean.

Hi Wass,
Spectacular capture! B&W is perfect for the photo and the bridge draws visual infinity. TFS

Hello Was.
Great conversion to B&W. You really show the agitated state of nature. Your perspective is really outstanding. The bridge coming out of the top right plunging down into the center pulling ones eyes with it. Great job,
Chris

Bonjour Wass,
J'aime beaucoup l'effet dramatique que donne le noir&blanc sur ton image. C'est que ma insité à allez voir ta photo.

Hi Wass. Excellent image. I love the POV and choice of wide angle. I think B&W really adds to the drama of the weather. Well captured and thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.

...and you did the right thing, Wass.
Your photo is as much classy as the bridge itself.
Thanks for bringing this marvel of engineering to us.
Taka a risk as many times in life as possible (but watch out,eh?)
cheers

Salut Wass,
Très bon passage au noir et blanc qui donne une photo bien contrastée. Côté composition, c'est bien vu aussi avec cette diagonale qui traverse la photo.
Bravo,
Nicole

Hi Wass -
I like the point of view here, however I must say that I don't like that there is so much vignetting on the corners. I do like the dynamic range and contrast, though!
