northern full moon Photo

Photographer’s Note

Pics took in Blachford Lake Lodge ( 25 minutes by plane from Yellowknife). It was my first northern lights that saw in my life and it was unforgetable. The pics is little bit noisy 'cause my ISO was high (800)

Some flares around the moon and some noise, otherwise OK.

Magnificent shot of this spectacular aurora,very good captured for your first shot of this natural phenomenon ,nicely composed with the dark silhuets on the horizon .Good work

Joli coup d'essai pour une première photo d'aurore boréale.Jolies couleurs,bon cadrage.Tu as de la chance car tu n'es certainement pas le seul à vouloir en photographier.

I like how the Moon i sorounded by northern lights. You have big luck to see his phenomena. I'm in Antarctica at the moment but in my area isn't southern lights.

So beautiful and evokes much sense of awe and mystery. I really don't mind the lens flares either. It kind of adds to surreal-ness of the scene.

For the noise, you should try downloading NeatImage - a noise filter.

Never mind the noise or lens flare, this pic is amazing! Dramatic Aurora, the green colour is beautuful. What a sight it must have been. Does it move as you watch it?

Very nice photo. I was also amazed when I saw my first northen lights in Ottawa. I like the lens flares.
