Sunflower is my favorite kind of flower, and, probably, the most photographed one. But I’ve never been to the sunflowers’ field before… Here you are… Somewhere in the Ontario countryside, between Caledon and Mississauga, on Mississauga road… At the end of July the sunflowers look at their best… One more month…and the hot summer will be over. ..

hi alana,
stunning, i love this sort of aggressive use of contrasts, 100% to my liking,
have a good week, j.

A wonderful image Alana, your choice of sepia tone is great.. as the mood of this picture.. excellent work!!

have a beautiful week,
Fabio.

Hi Alana,

oh yes, I think that the sepia tone makes this so impressive...well done!

take care, Ivana

wowee, Alana!
This is such a surreal photo! It looks so much like a painting. I love the fish-eye affect, just adds to the abstract quality of the shot.
Well done!

This is amazing Alana! Love the strong contrast and the sense of speed caused by the wide angle lens. Sepia really does wonders here, but I bet it would be impressive in color. I can imagine that yellow/blue game. Love your compo and that starry sky. Great photo!

Hi Alana.

Amazing photo.
Revelation sky, clouds, and this sunflowers.
Really amazing.

Regards
a.

Hello Alana. Beautiful. The fluffy sky above sepia sunflowers make an original and very aesthetic photograph. Although everything seems chaotic, the converging lines in the sky give a perfect sense of lecture to the image. Excellent work taking full advantage of your wide angle.

This is absolutely stunning Alana, and I think its the first time I 've seen sunflowers in black and white. I like the perspective that going in close with the wide-angle has given, but what makes this shot so great is that amazing sky.
Excellent work.
Ben

i used to see more of sunflowers in the past, perhaps that's because, when i look at your picture, a feeling of nostalgy embraces me, with the wonderful sepia tonation strengthening it. brilliant visual effect, very unique for we rarely see flowers and the sky in this tonation
best regards
A.

Very creative of you again, Alana, I have never seen sunflowers in sepia before and I must say your PP works wonders here, in addition to the POV and tight framing. Very impressive work.

Cheers
Alexander

You know Alana, I think I wouldn't have ever thought to desaturate sunflowers, because of it's wonderfully bright colours. But you've done that & done it so very well. Your contrasts is amazing..I wonder how the clouds appear to be streaking. Your shots open new vistas of seeing photographs for me. Bravo!

Hi Alana, tremedous picture here once again. No buildings this time, no bridges, a BW of mother nature with sunflower fields that you managed perfectly ... Your sky is as usual awesome.
Waouuu :)
