Photographer’s Note
Windpower is growing in popularity. Here is a commercial windfarm near McGrath, Alberta. This is smartly located in one of the windiest areas in North America, where Chinook winds can blow at 100 km/hour (60 miles/hour). But the windmills don't operate in winds that strong, and work best in the 20-40km/hr range. I buy all of my power from this windfarm (at 7 cents per kilowatt hour).

Hi Mike, though I have not been in this part of Alberta much, I do recall seeing it at least once while driving on the highway down south years ago. Nice decision to go with the panorama with this topic, as it does justice to just how expansive the landscape looks on these wind farms. The sky was a touch dark for my liking but I think it made the windmills in white stick out that much more. Like how the blades are shifted in differing positions throughout the composition.

Dear Mike,
Very nice panoramic shot these windmills.
Unfortunately, you add some dust on your lens that give stains in your sky.
I've removed them on a workshop.
Thanks for sharing,

Hi Mike. These wind generators fascinate me. We have a couple of wind farms here and I have a couple of shots in my gallery also. Unfortunately still photography doesn’t do these magnificent turbine justice. Excellent capture Mike the panoramic crop is a good choice. Thanks for sharing.
Cheers, Paul.
