On a rocky headland, battered by wind and waves of the North Atlantic Ocean, stands Cape Bonavista where
over five hundred years ago Canada's colonial history began.
In 1497, John Cabot landed on North American soil for the first time at this less-than-ideal-harbour. Still, it was a relief after the long Atlantic crossing and he yelled "O Buono Vista", and so the town was named.

Superbes photo et arrangements de couleurs, sur les rochers, la mer et le ciel.
L'oiseau en 1er plan, donne à l'endroit, à la fois un caractère intime et sauvage.

Great colors with the green of the rocks blending with the green sea below. The lonlely bird adds scale to this lovely landscape.
