Waaaah! These guys look all in - like they've just run a marathon or something - well let me tell you the Sun Run isn't that long - it's just a few miles but they look like they've been through it...big guys carrying a bit of weight... for the first time - after a couple of weeks in BC unremitting sunshine!!! Look no reflections on the ground!!! It's dusty dry....but anyway back to these great guys and their exertions...the truth of it is that at the point this image was taken maybe they'd run all of -- well perhaps 300 yards.....you've got it all to come guys....perhaps hitting The Wall this early has its advantages!!!
I love the light reflections on the building in the background.
Were they 'posing' .....well my evaluation of most of the men coming towards me was that they definitely were - the women either went into studiously ignoring me mode or taking me on - 'hey you're only taking photos because you're jealous of how beautiful we are!' - whatever that meant!!
Somewhere between 50 -60,00 people took part in this 'race' - the atmosphere in the city was fantastic - a really beautiful day for everyone!! Just a fantastic effort by people of all shapes and sizes, some with babies, some pushing wheelchairs, some serious runners......and........

indeed that building is it in a strange yet superb way;
i like those runners having heads in three different position: the left one bowing the head forward, the one in the middle very stiff, and the one onthe right with his head somehow lifted high;
have a good we,

Shot to be envy about. Shot to study. Shot to think...How did he do it? Against the sun. Results - par excellance.
PS: That pony tail of the girl behind - isn't that a sheer beauty?

the buildings are indeed well taken. I am most impressed with your exposure here. everything looks right on but with such varying light levels.
it is humorous to think about these guys running only 300yrds. that is great and really makes the shot more understandable. i would think this was the finish line.
well composed too.
