Photographer’s Note
As he was walking, looking pensive, he was passing by the AVEDA poster of the nearby beauty parlour. The woman on the poster, ice cold with an impeccable skin, was staring into empty space. The contrasts appealed to me... they both looked into different directions. Yet probably both felt alone.
(Another street scene, completely "on the fly". I admit this one is dear to me for some reason, but have several versions of it and am wavering as to which to post. Again, if you care to see the Workshop, I'd be happy to hear what you think.)

Hi Sarolta!!
Great composition... it reminds me a little to an old "cinema-noir" movie poster :) Sepia color is a good choice to make a clearer image with no disturbing colors. Another great pic!!
Regards.

Bonjour Sarolta,
On this one I would say that the thumbnail looked better than the open picture.
The idea seems great, as always showing your creativity, but the "white reflections" of the man's head on her right eye & nose, and his shoulders on her upper lip disturbs the composition.

Hi Sasa.

Hi Sasa
to me this is 'optical illusion' - ya know the one you either see a pretty lady or a very old woman depending on the way ya look @ it... Well the two images here mix together very well just like alkali and acid :p
And out of the WS, this one is the more 'focused' one but I probably prefer the panorama version with the car which seems more conventional to me.

Hi Sarolta, the magic of the mirages, the reflections, causes that sometimes we confuse the real thing with unreal lived with dreamed the laughter about the weeping.... the that is your photo confusion and beauty.
You have obtained a great photo, good definition good B/W, good light.
The "Workshop" is very interesting and also I like much.
Congratulations by your good work.
A hug.......... Paco

Love these type of shots, and the shot is only further improved with your included story. A photo with some real substance and depth behind it.

Sasa,
Another great reflection shot. I love the old and the young with the two very different outlooks presented well here. Im not sure which one i like best as they are all so good.
Cheers

This is a deep one, Sasa, the kind of shot that, if printed right, would fit just right in a gallery.
I think you made the right choice between the 3, that's the first thing.
Then there's the surreal element (Man Ray again...) with the man's head coinciding with her nose.
Cropped car is corret, the traffic lights suffice to...give directions.
Super job, inspiring and strangely moving,
Francis

Dear Sasa,
As always your srtistic judgement is impeccable. I like the the crop and the sepia the tone best. The one with the car is the runner-up; in that one, I particularly like the fact the the old man is more clear; but I like the crop better in the one you posted. I salute you for your ability to see and capture a unique perspective.

Hey Sasa,
beauty and old age. Cold cockyness of youthvs retreating humility of old age. This is what I get from here.

My favorite is "Altered Image #1". I also like the square crop very much, but I tend to prefer street photos with more space around the main subjects. How I love that shot. The composition is very good. My attention is immediately attracted to the left eye of the girl. With the light that is glowing in that spot this picture resembles me a surrealistic painting. The serenity of both man and girl creates a feeling of parallelism and unawareness. The black and white work is as usual, very good with strong shadows, clear whites and smoothness very hard to achieve. Thanks for sharing this.

I just love the B&W square crop of this in the workshop, Sasa, but as a post to TE, I suppose this one is more suitable because it shows more of the context in which you have taken the photograph. You certainly have a eye for these 'on the fly' reflections and your compostion is superb. Cheers . . . David

I like the w/s with the car in it. I have tried to figure out why, but I think it brings something out in the woman. I wish I could put a finger on it but the best I can do is that it seems to add to the non-reflected world and that allows the reflected world to stand out a bit more. As it stands now the two worlds are equal, and by adding more to the unreflected I notice the reflected more.
I have no idea if that made a lick of sense, but I hope you understood...for what its worth.
thanks

Hi Sasa, I opened this up from the thumbnail and .............I am not sure. I admire the creativity and the thinkign behind it very much and probably agree with you - but the shot itself doesnt do that much to me, so waht to do close it and pass it by or write not such a postive critique and let you know I've been by--- you know how much I admire your work so I decided the latter.
hugs

hi sasa,
been bit busy lately and couldnt quite keep up with your works, whcih i'll try to change soon;
for now let me comment on this one as it has a special value i think - the size of the woman's face is so huge on this image that the tiny man leaving the place looks like a victim, or a guilty man being banned;
very impressive work,
tc, j.
