[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Taken at the crosswalk at Dundas and Spadina Avenue, as people are passing. I really liked the variety of images and ideas I was able to capture in this view. Please, let your eyes and mind wander, and come up with your own commentary for this busy photo.

I'm not sure how I got the effect of the moving people appearing sharp and still but the background appears blurred. Any ideas?

Same location as here, but a different day.

Comments and critiques are always welcome.

Hi Michelle,

It is a good photo of people moving, the cold weather probably made them going faster. The colors are nice and good composition.

Pierre

You are right, there are many different, VERY different people and moods, some running, some strolling, one is sitting and perhaps waiting.... It is possible to watch a corner like this one for hours and look at life passing, and w0onder what is people doing
Ciao! Livia

Bonsoir Michelle,

Belle composition de l'activité trépidante en ville, les couleurs et détails sont extras, le seul défaut cela penche un peu.
Amitiés Joseph

C'est vrai qu'il y a beaucoup d'activité à l'intersction Dundas et Spadina.

Blurred people is caused when the photographer is walking, shooting and affraid of a car, a street car or a driver in a hurry or worst a crazy driver. If all these conditions are met then it may causes a blurred background.

I guess you did a bit of pano(?) here, Michelle, following the people that moved across the street with your camera. This move and the slight tilt gives some extra action to the shot - as if taken by an investigator following one or more of the people in the street. Like it's one of a series of rapid shots showing an event. There's much more activity compared to your previous upload from this intersection and the technical size is much better. Well done!
