Photographer’s Note
On the Burrard Bridge in Vancouver there is an archway opening. I noticed that these gulls were soaring here, and with patience I managed to capture two of them inside this arch opening. This view is looking west along English Bay shoreline. The deep blue is from using a polarizer filter. Enjoy the view!

Hi Paul,
Goodness - you are taking Vancouver by storm! Such an unusual view and very artistically presented. Superb contrast and clarity, as all the apartment buildings along the shore are well seen. I like how you included a sliver of foreground railing that has good symmetry. A nice one, Paul.

Great idea Paul! I like the way you used the arch to frame that gorgeous blue sky, and the decision to wait for some birds in there is a good one, because it adds a bit of interest. Well done!

Hi Paul, A nice frame to this city view. If you don't say that this was taken from a bridge, I would guess that this was a view from your balcony. Good capture of the flying birds in front of the view. Impressive blue colored sky. Well done.

Hi Paul,
Now that's a different view, but I really like it! The arch revealing the main elements of this beautiufl city. The sky looks amazing and the buildings basking in the sunshine with the mountains in the background is fantastic. Great composition and well captured!
Greetings,
Ann

Hi Paul. I get so accustomed to your awesome nature shots that it's a nice surprise to see something like this. This is a very creative composition and you seem to be having fun in this urban setting. I like the gulls as they put this one over the top for me. Nice shot Paul.

Hi Paul
Amazing blue sky you've captured and the framing works well not only to catch the gulls but also to reveal the buildings receding into the distance. Nice light too.
Cheers
